Who's "behind" Gyldenløve?

It all started, as it often does when it concerns pedigree cats, with a Domestic Cat, Rasmus, that I (Carli) got in 1990.  After a while I wanted him to have some company when I went of to work every day, so I decided to get another cat. I had "coincidentallly" visited some cat shows and was very taken by the Norwegian Forest Cat. I then called a breeder who told me that they were expecting kittens. I asked them to give me a call when the kittens were born. To make a long story short, I bought my first breeding female, Fie, from that litter, and made the gound to breeding Norwegian Forest Cats, with her first litter in 1993.

Ever since my first visit to the USA, in 1998, I have wantd to own and breed MCO(s) and in Spring 2006, our first MCO, Maggie, came to live with us. I Fall 2006 Baccarat moved in with us and the latest addition is Yannis, who moved in in March 2007.

A little bit about us:

In April 2005 I moved into a rented house with my wonderfull boyfriend, Allan, in Ringsted. The house is app. 150 square meters. In fall 2006 I started as a student at the nursing school. Allan works in an office, with sales and logistic at Maxit, a company who produces mortar in Karlslunde. In his spare time Allan plays in a jazzband & a rock band and likes to mess around with computers as well:-)

All our cats is of course living with us, including the males, we have 8 at the moment, 5 adults and 3 kittens, and they are also living together with the females and that is working out very well! None of the males are outside in runs or other areas of the house- they are a part of our family and dayly life at Casa Gyldenløve and that is something that we feel very comfortable with!

We are members of , 1 of the 4 main clubs under Felis Danica. We are also members of Norsk Skovkattering and the Maine Coon clubs in Denmark and Sweden. In Spring 2007 Carli has been elected to be a part of the health committee in the danish Maine Coon club
